Tour History
Dnepropetrovsk July 21 — 30, 2005
Dear Anastasia, I’ve just returned home from Dnepropetrovsk and decided to write and tell you all about it. This trip was at the top of the list. There was a good group of men that seemed to go with the flow unlike other trips where the men do nothing but complain about all the culture differences. It’s incredible how big a difference that makes in the outcome of the tour. As usual, there were three socials and even though the number of ladies was a little less than normal, the quality was much better. By that, I mean there was a lot less “players” and many more sincere ladies.
The first and second socials were within walking distance from the hotel which was nice. The Night Club for those was laid out a bit strange, with all the separate rooms, but it actually proved to be very helpful by giving you a quiet place to sit and talk or just get away from the music for a minute or two. The third and last social was a three hour bus ride away but the time seemed to pass very quickly since it was a chance for most of us to catch up on some sleep lost the previous nights. The social there went well and all the men kept very busy writing down phone numbers of the ladies they had met. Regretfully, 7pm came and the last of the three socials was over. I found it funny and you could almost set your watch by it, but it took exactly an hour to get the men back on the bus for the journey home.
The next few days were packed with things like bowling, a boat ride, tours of the city and of course, the go-karts. I didn’t get a chance to ride them myself, but these puppies weren’t speed restricted like they are here in the US. Everyone that went for a ride on those rockets came back with a big smile. All of these were great opportunities for everyone to get better acquainted with the ladies they had met and have a lot of fun doing it.
By the end of the tour the men were all happy and almost all of them had met someone special. At least 4 of them, to my knowledge, had become engaged. A few of the guys even threw a little party at the hotel for the women they had met. Luckily, I had gone bowling that night and wasn’t there when the hotel shut them down at 11pm. Their party was the talk of the hotel for the next few days. The hotel here was nice too. They had a pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and a large workout facility. I wish the breakfast was more sufficient but everyone seemed to take it in stride. All in all, it was a good trip and I would definatly put this city on my to-do-again-list. Thanks again Anastasia!
